Pricing & Billing Terms

Last updated: July 9, 2026

This page describes how pricing and billing work on TrackStemLab (the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Refund Policy. Prices below are in US dollars (USD); the final amount, your local currency, and any taxes (such as VAT) are confirmed at checkout before you pay.

1. Free tier

Every account receives a small balance of free processing minutes that replenishes daily up to a cap. Free minutes are intended for personal evaluation and fair use; we may change the free grant, the cap, and the replenishment rules over time, and we use anti-abuse measures (described in our Privacy Policy) to prevent circumvention of free-tier limits.

2. How processing minutes are used

Processing minutes are the single currency for all processing on TrackStemLab. Every time you split a track, minutes are deducted from your balance in proportion to the length of the audio you process. Transcribing a stem to notes (MIDI / Guitar Pro / MusicXML) costs half the minutes of a split of the same length; transcription with the Advanced AI engine (a Premium feature) costs the full minutes of the audio, like a split. Your balance combines three sources of minutes, all spent the same way:

  • Free daily minutes — granted to every account and replenished daily up to a cap (section 1).
  • Pack minutes — one-time minutes you buy (section 3). They are added to your balance and do not expire.
  • Subscription minutes — the monthly allotment included with Premium (section 4).

3. Minute packs (one-time)

Buy a one-time pack of processing minutes whenever you need more. Packs are charged once, never renew, and the minutes are added to your balance and do not expire. Larger packs cost less per minute:

PackProcessing minutesPrice (USD)
5-minute pack5 min$2.49
15-minute pack15 min$4.49
60-minute pack60 min$10.99
300-minute pack300 min$29.99

4. Subscription — Premium

Premium costs $5/month, billed in advance on a recurring basis. Your subscription includes:

  • 30 processing minutes every month, added to your balance on top of the free daily minutes. Unused subscription minutes roll over while your subscription stays active, and are spent on stem separation just like any other minutes (section 2).
  • Choice of AI separation models — pick the model that best fits your track instead of being limited to the default.
  • Choice of output formats — export your stems in additional file formats.
  • Notation download formats — download transcriptions as Guitar Pro (.gp5) and MusicXML files. Free accounts download MIDI only; the built-in notation viewer is available to everyone.
  • Advanced transcription controls — fine-tune note detection (sensitivity, manual tempo and key, and more) when transcribing stems to notes, plus a higher-accuracy piano transcription engine.
  • Advanced AI transcription engine — a multi-instrument model that transcribes additional instrument tracks it hears in the audio (billed at the full minutes of the audio, see section 2).

The subscription renews automatically until you cancel — see section 5. You can also buy minute packs at any time, with or without a subscription.

5. Auto-renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged automatically, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page or by contacting support; cancellation stops future renewals and remains effective until the end of the period already paid for. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for a started period unless required by law.

6. Price changes

We may change prices and the contents of plans. Changes to recurring subscription prices will apply from the next billing period after we give you reasonable notice; if you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

7. Taxes and Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of record. Creem calculates and collects any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) and issues your invoice. Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of tax depending on your location, as indicated at checkout.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility, the EU/UK right of withdrawal, and the treatment of failed jobs are described in our Refund Policy.
